This counter reports the total frames of ingress traffic on this PM instance that were accepted as in-profile -- conforming to the service's committed rate -- during a completed prior day (for example the 24 hours of August 5th). This is the figure that represents legitimate, fully-forwarded revenue traffic for this service over that completed day, so comparing it against the port's configured committed rate for that same span tells you how close to its contracted capacity the service is actually running. For instance, dividing this accepted-frame count by the accompanying accepted-byte count for that completed day gives the average frame size of conforming traffic, which drops noticeably if a customer's link suddenly fills with small VoIP-sized frames instead of its usual bulk-data traffic.
