Description: Highest value which the adjustment basis value will be allowed to reach. May be used by PM to inhibit Adjustment TCA events once the limit has been reached. Value is provided to PM from the component which manages the entity being monitored by the PM instance.

What is cienaCesPmAdjustmentTcaBasisValueMax?

This PmTcaUnsigned64, per its DESCRIPTION, is the mirror of BasisValueMin: the highest value the basis is permitted to reach, usable by PM to suppress further Adjustment TCA events once that ceiling has been hit, and it too is supplied by the external component managing the monitored entity rather than configured directly. This keeps a basis value that is legitimately climbing (for instance after a capacity upgrade) from generating a continual stream of TCAs purely because it keeps exceeding the previous cycle's basis -- once it caps out at this ceiling, that becomes the accepted new normal instead of an ongoing alarm condition. For example, after an interface is upgraded from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps and the basis climbs to match, a max of 10,000,000,000 bps stops the Adjustment TCA logic from treating the upgrade itself as a series of anomalies.
