Module: CIENA-CES-NOTIFICATIONS-CONTROL
OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-NOTIFICATIONS-CONTROL::cienaCesMplsTrapState
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.2.1.1.1.20

Type: CienaGlobalState
Access: read-write
Description: Setting this object to 'disabled' causes MPLS related traps to be suppressed.
What is cienaCesMplsTrapState?
This read-write switch acts as a master control for all MPLS-related traps on this device, covering the tunnel, pseudowire, and TE-link notification categories examined throughout much of this MIB, and per its own description, setting it to disabled explicitly suppresses those traps rather than merely reducing their frequency. This makes it the single highest-leverage switch for silencing MPLS alerting during planned maintenance on the MPLS control plane, but also the first thing to check if an entire category of MPLS-related alarms has mysteriously gone silent. If pseudowire and tunnel state-change traps have all stopped arriving simultaneously while the underlying services themselves still misbehave, this master MPLS trap switch being left disabled is the most likely explanation.
