OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-NOTIFICATIONS-CONTROL::cienaCesModuleAllModulesTrapState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.2.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CienaGlobalState

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates whether the device sends out module related traps.

What is cienaCesModuleAllModulesTrapState?

This read-write switch is the master control for whether this device generates any traps related to hardware modules (line cards, service modules, etc.) installed in the chassis, gating the more specific module sensor, health, HA, and POST-error trap controls found elsewhere in this same MIB. If a module is physically pulled or fails and no alarm is generated anywhere, this master switch being disabled is the first thing to rule out before troubleshooting any of the individual module-related trap-state objects. This exists as a single point of control for admins who want to silence all module-level notifications during planned maintenance without individually toggling every sub-category.
