cienaCesLdpReconnectTime

Module: CIENA-CES-LDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-LDP-MIB::cienaCesLdpReconnectTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.1.17.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The period of time that the local node takes to restart LDP and bring up the LDP sessions.This is advertised to neighbors in the FT Session TLV in Initialization messages.

The value chosen should be large enough for LDP to be terminated and restarted.

For devices which only act as the Helper node, this timer is unused and will return value 0.

What is cienaCesLdpReconnectTime?

This is the amount of time this device advertises to LDP neighbors as how long it will take to restart LDP and bring sessions back up after a control-plane restart, used by peers to decide how long to preserve stale forwarding state on its behalf. Devices that only ever act as a Helper, assisting a restarting peer rather than restarting themselves, always report 0 here since the timer doesn't apply to them. A value of 90000 (90 seconds) would tell peers to expect this device's LDP sessions to be re-established within about a minute and a half after a restart, and to hold forwarding state at least that long.
