cienaCesExtAclEntryNotifDstInetPrefixLen

Module: CIENA-CES-ACL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-ACL-MIB::cienaCesExtAclEntryNotifDstInetPrefixLen

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.1.25.1.2.2.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressPrefixLength

What is cienaCesExtAclEntryNotifDstInetPrefixLen?

This completes the destination-side notification quartet, a display-duplicate prefix length accompanying cienaCesExtAclEntryNotifDstInetAddr to tell a trap receiver exactly how broad the authorized destination network is. An admin's audit tooling needs this paired with the destination address to fully capture the scope of what was authorized on the destination side of an extended-ACL change, completing the full source-address/source-prefix/destination-address/destination-prefix picture recorded in each notification. For example, an audit record built from a full set of these notification fields could show a change authorizing traffic from a /24 partner subnet specifically to a /32 single internal server, a precise and auditable record of exactly what access was newly granted.
