Description: Number of IP datagrams that have been discarded because they needed to be fragmented but could not be. This includes IPv4 packets that have the DF bit set and IPv6 packets that are being forwarded and exceed the outgoing link MTU.

When tracking interface statistics, the counter of the outgoing interface is incremented for an unsuccessfully fragmented datagram.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter may occur at re-initialization of the system, and at other times as indicated by the value of DiscontinuityTime.

This object is only available if the capability object 'cie1000IpCapabilitiesHasPerInterfaceIpv4Statistics' is True.

What is cie1000IpStatisticsInterfacesIpv4OutFragFails?

Read-only counter of IPv4 datagrams discarded because they required fragmentation (e.g. exceeded the outgoing MTU) but could not be fragmented, such as packets with the Don't Fragment bit set.
