It is a quicker top-level check than scanning every individual module's voltage reading; a group-level sag here immediately implicates the shared upstream AC feed for that whole group rather than requiring the admin to check each module individually first. An admin seeing this group voltage sag while other AC groups on the same site read normal would suspect a problem specific to that group's shared feed or transformer tap rather than a site-wide utility issue.
