This is a bitmap selecting exactly which OLT PON ports have policy-based auto-authentication enabled, letting the admin restrict the automatic-accept behavior to only the ports where installers are actively rolling out new service. Restricting the bitmap keeps stray or unauthorized ONUs plugged into other, unrelated ports from being auto-accepted just because the global switch is on. For example, enabling the bitmap for only ports 1-4 out of a 16-port chassis limits auto-acceptance to the active-rollout ports while leaving the rest of the chassis requiring manual provisioning.
