What is gponOnuOpticalLaserBiasCurrent?
This reports the bias current driving the ONU's laser diode, in milliamps, another DDM parameter reported by the transceiver. A steadily climbing bias current at a constant output power is a leading indicator that the laser is aging and drawing more current to sustain the same brightness, letting maintenance schedule a swap before it fails outright. For example, a rise from 20mA to 35mA over several months at otherwise stable Tx power points to a laser nearing end of life.
