What is gponOnuEthPortFlowCtrl?
This turns 802.3x Ethernet flow control on or off for this specific port, letting connected equipment pause frame transmission during momentary congestion rather than simply dropping packets. An admin might enable this on a port feeding equipment sensitive to packet loss, accepting the tradeoff of occasional transmission pauses instead. For example, enabling flow control on a port connected to a device that handles buffering poorly can reduce packet loss during brief traffic bursts on that link.
