This read-create OCTET STRING (1-14 bytes) holds the software/firmware version string this auto-auth rule requires for a match, used together with the equipment ID under equid-swver-auth mode. Admins set it to keep devices on vulnerable older firmware out of automatic provisioning. For example, requiring firmware 'V2.1.3P1' in gponOltAutoAuthSoftwareVersion ensures only ONUs already upgraded to that approved version are auto-authenticated, keeping units on older firmware out of the automatic path.
