Description: The total number of cells received

What is pportInCells?

This counts the total number of ATM cells received on this physical port. As the most basic cell-layer counter for this port, it is the denominator you would use alongside pportInErrorCells to compute this specific link's raw cell error rate. A port receiving 10 million cells with only 5 flagged as pportInErrorCells has an extremely low error rate, well within normal operation.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.43
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::pportInCells

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.43.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::pportInCells.1
