This is a live, read-only bitmask showing which DS0 channels on this port are currently in loopback right now, with the low bit corresponding to DS0 1. Unlike the up/down transition status objects, this gives the current state directly, so it is the object to check before assuming a channel on this port is passing live traffic; a channel stuck in loop from an old test would otherwise silently look like a service outage to end users. Finding bit 12 unexpectedly set here would explain why DS0 channel 12 on this port has been carrying no real traffic; it is still in loopback from an earlier test that was never cleared.
