Description: The clocking method to be used by the CBR card.

4-port CBR card
-----------------------------------------------

1 - synchronous (external) clocking
2 - SRTS clocking
3 - adaptive clock method

What is pportCbrTargetClockMode?

This selects the clocking method, synchronous (external reference), SRTS, or adaptive, that this port's 4-port CBR card should target when recovering the clock for constant-bit-rate traffic. For CBR services like circuit emulation, the clock recovery method on this specific port directly determines how faithfully the original bit rate is reproduced at the far end; synchronous clocking needs a shared network reference while SRTS and adaptive methods recover timing from the cell stream itself, each with different jitter and robustness tradeoffs. A CBR circuit emulating a T1 over an ATM network without a shared timing reference available would typically use adaptive clocking (mode 3) on this port rather than synchronous mode 1.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.73
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::pportCbrTargetClockMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.73.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::pportCbrTargetClockMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.73.1 i <value>
