OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::pportAtmLastUnconfiguredVpi

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.4.2.1.63

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This entry holds the Vpi read from the last Unconfigured atm cell received. This entry applies to ATM pports only.

What is pportAtmLastUnconfiguredVpi?

This holds the VPI (virtual path identifier) value read from the most recent ATM cell this port received that did not match any configured VPI/VCI on the switch. Because it captures a single recent sample rather than a history, this value on this specific port is most useful as a quick diagnostic snapshot, paired with pportAtmLastUnconfiguredVci, when pportAtmUnconfiguredCells shows the count climbing, to identify exactly which VPI a misbehaving upstream device is sending. If this shows VPI 5 while no VPI 5 circuit is provisioned on this port, that is the identifier to hand to whoever manages the far-end equipment still sending cells for a circuit that no longer exists here.
