nodeToColdboot

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeToColdboot

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.34

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-write

Description: Instructs the switch to initiate a system cold boot after the specified time ticks have elapsed. A value of 0 indicates cancellation of the previously scheduled re-boot request.

What is nodeToColdboot?

This schedules a full cold boot after the specified time ticks elapse, with 0 cancelling a prior request, the more thorough counterpart to nodeToWarmboot for situations needing a complete hardware-level restart. An operator schedules nodeToColdboot for a maintenance window when a warm boot alone hasn't cleared a persistent fault.
