nodeTime

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.68

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-write

Description: The current wall-clock time that is set on the switch in Universal Coordinated Time (UCT). The value is the number of seconds since 00:00:00 UCT January 1, 1970.

What is nodeTime?

This is the switch's current wall-clock time, expressed as seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on January 1, 1970, settable to synchronize the switch's clock with an authoritative time source. Setting nodeTime correctly matters for accurately timestamping events like those in nodeDiagFatalTime and nodeDiagNonFatalTime, since a drifted clock would make correlating incidents across multiple switches unreliable.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.68
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeTime

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.68.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeTime.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.68.1 i <value>
