nodePsAStatus

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodePsAStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The status of the power supply A. For a detailed explanation for the power supply being either in the down or marginal state, refer to the nodePsADiagCode object.

What is nodePsAStatus?

This reports the operational status of power supply A in the switch's redundant power system, with the MIB directing an admin to check nodePsADiagCode for the specific failure detail when the status is down or marginal. Seeing nodePsAStatus report marginal(4) rather than a clean up(1) or down(2) warns of a supply that hasn't fully failed yet but is degraded, worth scheduling replacement before the switch relies entirely on power supply B.
