nodeOamAlarmDisabled

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeOamAlarmDisabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.76

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: If disabled then don't generate oam alarms for circuits that are down on this switch.

What is nodeOamAlarmDisabled?

Setting this to disabled(2) stops the switch from generating OAM alarms for circuits that are down, useful for suppressing alarm noise on ports or circuits known to be intentionally out of service. An admin sets nodeOamAlarmDisabled to disabled(2) during planned circuit decommissioning to avoid a flood of down-circuit alarms cluttering the NMS during the transition.
