nodeMemoryUsage

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeMemoryUsage

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description: The system memory utilization, in terms of free bytes, for this intelligent card.

What is nodeMemoryUsage?

This reports the switch's system memory utilization expressed as free bytes remaining, for this intelligent card, the inverse framing of nodeMemoryUtil which reports percentage used. Watching nodeMemoryUsage approach zero on a specific card, even while nodeMemoryUtil looks like it has slack left due to rounding, gives a more precise early warning before the card actually runs out of memory.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.16
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeMemoryUsage

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.16.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeMemoryUsage.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> nodeMemoryUsage.1
