nodeLanIpAddr

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeLanIpAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: The inband (Ethernet) IP address of the node for a NMS to access the node and the internal trunk IP network.

What is nodeLanIpAddr?

This is the switch's Ethernet-side IP address, used by an NMS to reach the switch directly and, through it, the internal trunk IP network, distinct from nodeIpAddr which is the trunk-side address. An admin configures nodeLanIpAddr so operators on the local LAN can manage the switch even if the trunk network path is having issues.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeLanIpAddr

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeLanIpAddr.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.2.1 a <value>
