nodeIpAddr

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::nodeIpAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: The inband IP address of the node in the Cascade internal trunk IP network.

What is nodeIpAddr?

This is the switch's own IP address on the Cascade internal trunk network, the inband channel switches use to exchange management and routing information with each other across the WAN backbone. Misconfiguring nodeIpAddr can isolate this switch from the rest of the Cascade network's internal management plane, even if its user-facing interfaces remain up.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeIpAddr

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::nodeIpAddr.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.3.1.1 a <value>
