What is nodeEpromRev?
This reports the revision of the switch's EPROM-resident boot firmware, separate from the main software revision tracked in nodeSwRev. Because EPROM firmware typically requires a physical chip swap or special procedure to update, unlike the loadable software image, nodeEpromRev tells an admin whether a unit needs that more invasive update path before a major software upgrade will even boot correctly.
