Description: This variable states the maximum sgement size for the network.

What is netMaxSegsize?

This sets the largest data segment size the switch will use when fragmenting traffic on this network, directly affecting throughput efficiency versus fragmentation overhead for the connected Frame Relay or SMDS service. Setting netMaxSegsize too small relative to the actual carried traffic increases fragmentation overhead and CPU load on the switch.
