Description: Outbound frames are allowed on the transmit commit queue when the commit queue falls below this threshold (in microseconds).

What is lportXmitLatencyThreshold?

This read-write value, expressed in microseconds, sets the queue-depth threshold below which outbound frames are allowed onto the transmit commit queue, effectively a latency-based admission control gate for the outbound path. An admin lowers this to tighten latency guarantees for delay-sensitive traffic, forcing the queue to stay shallower before admitting more frames, at the cost of potentially more frequent blocking, or raises it to allow deeper buffering and better throughput at the cost of added delay. For example, setting lportXmitLatencyThreshold to 2000 microseconds means frames are only queued for transmission when the existing commit queue would add no more than 2 ms of additional latency.
