What is lportSmdsCntSip3SaTypeInvalids?
This counts instances of an invalid source address type field in received SIP3 PDUs, the source-address mirror of lportSmdsCntSip3DaTypeInvalids. An admin uses it the same diagnostic way, flagging a sender whose SMDS stack is misconstructing the type-indicator portion of its own source address field. For example, a persistent count here for traffic from one particular port suggests that port's connected device is misconfiguring how it stamps its own address type on outgoing PDUs.
