Description: Number of instances that SIP3 source address is invalid.
What is lportSmdsCntSip3SaInvalids?
This counts instances of an invalid source address value in received SIP3 PDUs, the source-address mirror of lportSmdsCntSip3DaInvalids. An admin uses this to identify a sender whose own address field is malformed, which matters because a bad source address can also break any reply traffic trying to route back to that device. For example, a customer reporting they can send SMDS traffic but never receive replies might have their outbound frames flagged here, explaining why responses cannot find their way back to a garbled source address.
