OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.5.1.1.125

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-write

Description: Number of instances that SIP3 BA sizes in the header and trailer are not matched.

What is lportSmdsCntSip3BasizeMismatchs?

This counts instances where the BAsize value recorded in a SIP3 PDU's header disagrees with the BAsize value recorded in its trailer, a specific header-versus-trailer consistency check distinct from lportSmdsCntSip3BasizeIncorrects, header versus actual payload, and lportSmdsCntSip3BasizeInvalids, out-of-range value. An admin treats header/trailer mismatches as a strong indicator of in-transit corruption or reassembly problems, since a PDU's header and trailer originate together and should always agree if the PDU traveled intact. For example, seeing this counter climb together with lportSmdsCntSip3BetagMismatchs strengthens the case that PDUs are being corrupted or improperly reassembled somewhere in the switching fabric rather than being malformed at the source.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.5.1.1.125
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::lportSmdsCntSip3BasizeMismatchs

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.5.1.1.125.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::lportSmdsCntSip3BasizeMismatchs.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.5.1.1.125.1 i <value>
