Description: This item pertains to user frame relay lports only. The frame relay header of the received frame contains a dlci, which uniquely identifies a specific pvc on this lport. When no pvc has been configured, on the lport, that corresponds to the dlci specified in the frame header, the frame is said to have an invalid dlci. This lport entry holds the value of the most recent invalid dlci received on this lport, to be used in troubleshooting faulty configurations.
What is lportLastInvalidDLCI?
This read-only field holds the most recent DLCI value that arrived in a Frame Relay frame's header on this user lport but did not correspond to any PVC actually configured on that port, explicitly intended by its description for troubleshooting faulty configurations. An admin uses this directly to catch a misconfigured router at the customer's site that is sending traffic tagged with a DLCI the network side never provisioned, rather than having to guess which DLCI is wrong. For example, if lportLastInvalidDLCI reports 150 while the port only has PVCs configured on DLCIs 100 and 200, the admin knows the customer's router is misconfigured to use DLCI 150 for some traffic that has no matching PVC on the network side.
