This counts acknowledgment PDUs received back on the calling (originating) side of this circuit in response to its own hello messages, the other half of the hello/hello-ack keepalive exchange tracked by cktHelloCounter on the called side. For example, if cktHelloCounter on the far end's circuit entry keeps climbing but this circuit's cktHelloAckCounter stalls, that asymmetry suggests hellos are reaching the far end but acknowledgments aren't making it back, pointing to a one-directional path problem.
