This controls whether this card is allowed to send Trunk Protocol request frames, the signaling used to establish and maintain trunk links, on any of its trunk ports. Because setting this to disabled blocks trunk protocol requests for every trunk on the entire card at once, an admin using it as a troubleshooting tool needs to understand it's a card-wide switch, not a per-trunk one; disabling it to isolate one problematic trunk will also silently stop signaling on every other healthy trunk sharing that card. For example, an admin investigating trunk protocol flapping on one port accidentally disables cardTrkProtState and inadvertently drops signaling on three other unrelated trunks sharing the same card.
