What is cardSerial?

This reports the card's unique manufacturing serial number. This is the identifier an admin records when opening an RMA or warranty claim, since the vendor's support and repair tracking is keyed to serial number rather than slot position, which changes every time the card is moved to a different chassis. For example, an admin pulls cardSerial before shipping a suspect card back for RMA so the replacement request is tied to the correct unit's warranty history.
