This reports a checksum value computed over the card's stored PRAM contents, used to detect corruption of that saved configuration or state. An admin comparing this value across successive polls, or against an expected known-good value, can detect silent PRAM corruption before it manifests as a bad boot; an unexpected change in this checksum without a deliberate configuration change is itself the anomaly worth investigating. For example, cardPramChecksum changing between two polls with no config change made in between would prompt the admin to suspect PRAM corruption and consider a cardResetPram.
