What is cardEpromRev?
This reports the revision of the card's EPROM boot firmware, separate from its main software and hardware revisions. This tracks the boot-level EPROM firmware specifically, which matters because some upgrade procedures require the EPROM to be at a minimum revision before the new main firmware image will even load successfully. For example, an upgrade fails until the admin confirms via cardEpromRev that the boot EPROM needs updating first to meet the new firmware's minimum requirement.
