cardClp0UAbrThreshold

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::cardClp0UAbrThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.7.2.1.185

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The CLP 0 threshold for ABR/UBR queues in the card. Once queue length reaches this threshold, all CLP 1 cells are discarded until queue length falls below the threshold.

What is cardClp0UAbrThreshold?

This applies the same CLP-1-first selective discard logic to the ABR/UBR queues, the lowest-priority traffic class on this card. Because ABR/UBR traffic is the lowest-priority, most loss-tolerant class on this platform, this threshold is typically the most permissive of the whole family; an admin lets this queue build up further than any of the CBR or VBR queues before even discard-eligible cells start getting shed. For example, cardClp0UAbrThreshold is deliberately configured as the highest, most permissive threshold among the CLP0 family on a given card, reflecting ABR/UBR's position as the traffic class expected to absorb congestion first and most.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.7.2.1.185
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::cardClp0UAbrThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.7.2.1.185.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CASCADE-MIB::cardClp0UAbrThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.7.2.1.185.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cardClp0UAbrThreshold.1
