cardBulkStatsBaseCollectPeriod

Module: CASCADE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CASCADE-MIB::cardBulkStatsBaseCollectPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.277.1.7.2.1.114

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Configures base collection period for bulk statistics on an IOM in minutes. Only the following values are allowed: 15, 20, 30, 60, 120, 180, 240, 360, 720, 1440. The default value is 60.

What is cardBulkStatsBaseCollectPeriod?

This sets how often, in minutes, the card rolls up its bulk statistics into a new collection interval, restricted to a specific list of allowed values rather than any arbitrary number in the 15 to 1440 range. Because only certain discrete values, 15, 20, 30, 60, 120, 180, 240, 360, 720, and 1440, are actually accepted despite the range syntax allowing 15 to 1440, an admin who tries to set an arbitrary value like 45 or 90 will have the set rejected, which is a common configuration-attempt gotcha with this object. For example, an admin trying to set cardBulkStatsBaseCollectPeriod to 45 minutes for a custom reporting cadence gets rejected and must instead choose the nearest allowed value, such as 30 or 60.
