Description: The loopback status of TDM channels. This is intended for installation testing and should be set to 'None' for normal operation. The wire connections to a unit can be tested by applying a 'Copper' loopback to the local unit. The wireless connection to the remote unit can be tested by applying a 'Wireless' loopback to the remote unit with no loopback on the local unit. NB: a change of state may generate an SNMP trap and/or SMTP email alert
What is tDMChannelLoopback?
This is a per-channel column in the TdmTable controlling whether a loopback (none, copper, or wireless) is applied to that TDM channel for installation testing. A copper loopback tests the local unit's wiring, while a wireless loopback (applied at the remote unit with no loopback locally) tests the wireless connection; a state change here can trigger an SNMP trap or SMTP alert.
