Description: This alarm indicates that backplane communication between the multiport system control processor (MSCP) and the circuit pack is interrupted. Normal OAM&P operations to the circuit pack, like provisioning and performance monitoring, are affected while this alarm is active. If an amplifier or wavelength conversion circuit pack has been provisioned already, it continues to operate normally.
