mbufs
Module: BSDUNIX-MIB
OID (symbolic): BSDUNIX-MIB::mbufs
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.2.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter32
Access: read-only
Description: The number of mbufs allocated from the page pool.
What is mbufs?
Reports the total number of memory buffer structures (mbufs) currently allocated from the BSD kernel's page pool. This read-only counter is used on BSD Unix systems to monitor kernel network buffer usage and detect memory pressure.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.2.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> BSDUNIX-MIB::mbufs
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4.2.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> BSDUNIX-MIB::mbufs.1
