Description: Monitors Avaya Call Management System (CMS) call center reporting services, including ACD queue statistics.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AV-CMS-MIB?
AV-CMS-MIB is an Avaya-specific MIB exposing management information for Avaya Call Management System (CMS), the reporting and analytics platform used with Avaya contact center/ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) solutions. It provides SNMP GET access to CMS inventory and operational status information used to track the health of the call center reporting service itself. Its monitoring focus is on software/service status - confirming that the CMS reporting service is running and reachable, which underpins ACD queue statistics reporting for contact center supervisors, rather than exposing hardware sensor data. As part of the Avaya Aura/contact center product family, it depends on and complements companion Avaya MIBs for related communication manager and ACD components. It is deployed in enterprise and carrier contact center environments running Avaya CMS alongside Avaya Communication Manager or Aura Contact Center. Engineers can download the AV-CMS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AV-CMS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Avaya Call Management System (CMS) server
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll objects under avCmsMibObjects to check the operational status and inventory information of the Avaya CMS reporting service, watching for the service becoming unreachable or reporting an inventory mismatch. If avCmsMibNotifications trap indicates a fault, this would signal that ACD queue statistics reporting to contact center supervisors has been interrupted, requiring investigation of the CMS server's health.
What Can Be Monitored
- CMS service inventory status
- CMS operational/reachability status
- service fault notifications
