Description:
Indicates that a software download failure has occurred on the hardware unit associated with the specified index. A hardware index of 0 indicates that the error occurred in the ATM NE but not in any one hardware unit maintained in the MIB table.
What is atmfM4HwSwDownloadFailAlarm?
This OID represents a notification (alert message) that is sent when a hardware module fails to load new software. The notification identifies which hardware unit has the problem. When a software update attempt fails mid-deployment, network staff would receive this alert and know to investigate why the module did not accept the new code.
