Module: ARUBAWIRED-MGMD-SNOOPING-MIB

OID (symbolic): ARUBAWIRED-MGMD-SNOOPING-MIB::arubaWiredMgmdIgmpSnoopingControlDropUnknownMulticast

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.47196.4.1.1.3.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: When enabled along with IGMP Snooping, any IP Multicast packets that are not joined by an IGMP host will be restricted to ports that have detected a multicast router or ports that are configured to always forward IP multicast. When set to disabled or when IGMP Snooping is disabled, the unjoined IP multicast packets will be flooded out all ports in the VLAN. Permanently assigned multicast addresses are always flooded and so are not impacted by this object.

What is arubaWiredMgmdIgmpSnoopingControlDropUnknownMulticast?

A TruthValue read-write object controlling whether unknown IGMP multicast traffic is restricted. When enabled, multicast flows only to ports with active joins or router ports. Setting to true(1) prevents multicast flooding to non-members.
