Description: The number of IP multicast datagrams transmitted by software. This object counts the same datagrams as aristaSwFwdIpStatsOutMcastPkts, but allows for larger values.
Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of aristaSwFwdIpStatsDiscontinuityTime.
What is aristaSwFwdIpStatsHCOutMcastPkts?
A high-capacity (64-bit) version of the outbound multicast packet counter, tracking IP multicast datagrams transmitted by the software forwarding plane. It prevents counter rollover on high-volume multicast environments.
