Description: Specifies the number of Van Jacobson TCP/IP compression slots to use in each direction (compression and decompression). The default of 16 is strongly recommended, as many widely-available implementations do not interoperate when a different number is negotiated.

What is pppIsdnConfigVJSlots?

This integer (4-32) specifies the number of compression slots for Van Jacobson header compression in both directions. Network engineers set this to 16 (the default and most widely compatible value) unless the peer requires a different number. Higher values improve compression for traffic with many connections but use more memory.
