Module: APTIS-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): APTIS-CONFIG-MIB::pppIsdnConfigPassiveLCP

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2637.2.1.1315.1.413

Description: Don't send an LCP Configure-Request frame until either the peer has sent one, or a short timeout has expired

What is pppIsdnConfigPassiveLCP?

This Boolean enables passive LCP mode, where the local interface waits for the remote peer to initiate LCP negotiation before sending Configure-Request frames. Network engineers enable this for slave/secondary devices to reduce connection delays when both sides are initiating simultaneously. Passive mode prevents race conditions in call negotiation.
