pppIsdnConfigPassiveIPCP

Module: APTIS-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): APTIS-CONFIG-MIB::pppIsdnConfigPassiveIPCP

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2637.2.1.1315.1.721

Access: read-create

Description: Don't send an IPCP Configure-Request frame until either the peer has sent one, or a short timeout has expired

What is pppIsdnConfigPassiveIPCP?

This Boolean enables passive IPCP mode, where the local interface waits for the peer to initiate IPCP negotiation before sending its own Configure-Request. Network engineers enable this for secondary devices to avoid race conditions in simultaneous startup. Passive mode delays IP configuration slightly but prevents negotiation deadlocks.
