Description: The length (in octets) of the CHAP Value sent to the remote user in CHAP Challenge frames. This number must be a factor of 4. Note that some RADIUS servers support only Challenge Values of 16 bytes, so this length should not be changed unless it is supported by the RADIUS server in use.
What is pppIsdnConfigCHAPValueLength?
This integer (16-64 octets, multiples of 4) specifies the length of the CHAP challenge value sent to clients for authentication. Network engineers increase this for stronger cryptographic security; 16 bytes is standard, 32 or 64 bytes increases security. Some RADIUS servers only support 16-byte values, so this should be checked with the authentication backend.
