OID (symbolic): APTIS-CONFIG-MIB::pppConfigCHAPValueLength

Description: The length (in octets) of the CHAP Value sent to the remote user in CHAP Challenge frames. This number must be a factor of 4. Note that some RADIUS servers support only Challenge Values of 16 bytes, so this length should not be changed unless it is supported by the RADIUS server in use.

What is pppConfigCHAPValueLength?

An integer (16-64, multiple of 4) specifying the CHAP challenge value length in octets, affecting cryptographic strength and RADIUS compatibility. Longer values increase security; some servers only support 16 bytes. Example: 16 bytes for standard RADIUS servers, 32 for enhanced security.
