apexGbeInputDataTsBufferDepth

Module: APEX-MIB

OID (symbolic): APEX-MIB::apexGbeInputDataTsBufferDepth

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: GBE Input Data stream buffer depth. Amount of time in milliseconds that the GigE will buffer input streams that do not contain PCRs. This allows the GigE to buffer these streams to remove network jitter and then play them out with the packets equally spaced out. The buffer depth must be equal to or greater than the data stream smoothing period.

Once written, the change to this parameter will take immediate effect. However, in order for the change to persist through subsequent reboots or power cycles, the change must be saved via the apexSaveConfig parameter.

@Config(config=yes, reboot=no) @Save(apexSaveConfig, value=2) @File(bcmr.ini, type='ini')

What is apexGbeInputDataTsBufferDepth?

Defines how many milliseconds of data the GbE interface will buffer for input transport streams that lack PCR timing references, allowing the device to absorb network jitter before evenly replaying the packets. This setting controls the trade-off between latency and jitter tolerance for PCR-less streams.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexGbeInputDataTsBufferDepth

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> APEX-MIB::apexGbeInputDataTsBufferDepth.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.31.7.1.1.8.1 i <value>
